Where to Eat & Sleep in Galway?

My favourite destination – Galway  city with typical Irish atmosphere & kind people.

My first visit was back in 2013, although Ireland was not one of the TOP destinations on my list, but once I got there I fell in love and had to come back once again .When I got invitation from my friend, I was a bit tentative, but that was because I had no idea how cool this place is.

We stayed in Airbnb in Salthill, which was a bit far from the city center. I would recommend booking a room somewhere in central part of Galway, as this destination is favorite with tourists. My advice is to book a room at least 2 weeks in advance to avoid disappointment.

Where to eat

My top place to eat with typical Irish spirit was Ard Bia at Nimmos which is located on the east bank of the River Corrib, which was rough on windy Tuesday morning. I remember the day we went there. It was raining heavily and we got there soaking wet.

It was packed and I would definitely book the table, if you decide to visit this amazing place. What is so special about this restaurant? The restaurant is housed in the 18th Century Custom House, once you enter you will be impressed by its unique interior. It is a cosy place with lovely atmosphere and real homemade food.

We ordered delicious Irish breakfast and coffee. The stuff was pleasant  and  very friendly. Food is made from locally sourced ingredients typically, with exceptional options from fish to meat. Restaurant is  Small (upstairs and downstairs) so do not forget to  book ahead!!!!
